This Pastoral Care Disclaimer governs the pastoral care services provided by our volunteer pastoral team. By accepting pastoral care services from our team, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions: 1. Pastoral Care is Non-Professional You understand and acknowledge that the pastoral care provided by our volunteer pastoral team is not a substitute for professional counseling, therapy, or medical services. Our volunteers are not licensed professionals. Pastoral care services are provided from a spiritual perspective, and any guidance or support offered should not be considered professional advice. 2. Confidentiality Our pastoral team respects your privacy, and we maintain confidentiality to the extent allowed by law. However, pastoral conversations may not be entirely confidential in certain legal or ethical situations, such as when there is a risk of harm to yourself or others. We are mandated to report such concerns to the appropriate authorities. 3. No Liability You release our volunteer pastoral team and the organization from any liability for any actions or advice provided during pastoral care sessions. You understand that you participate in pastoral care services voluntarily, and you accept any associated risks. 4. Scope of Services Our pastoral care services are limited to providing spiritual and emotional support and guidance within the scope of our training and beliefs. We do not provide legal, medical, or professional psychological advice. If you require such services, you are encouraged to seek assistance from qualified professionals. 5. Informed Consent By receiving pastoral care, you consent to participate willingly and accept the terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement. You understand that you are free to discontinue pastoral care services at any time. 6. Dispute Resolution Any disputes arising from pastoral care services will be resolved through mediation or arbitration, in accordance with the laws of Tennessee. 7. Changes to Terms We may update or modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you in writing, and your continued use of pastoral care services constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with any part of this Agreement, you should refrain from using our pastoral care services.
